oops was going to say it kind of works for me at least you just have to go to the profile of the blue check you want to block (im assuming because thats where the blocking functionality is exposed) like for instance this guy https://twitter.com/Murphybear64 then if you refresh youll see hes blocked so it saves you a couple clicks

so a good block the blue workflow might be find a tweet that has a a ton of blue check replies and open the profile of each replier in a new tab then go one by one closing each tab which will in turn load the next tab activating the blocking extension

yeah, i've also been locked out of my account. "we've detected suspicious activity" was the message iirc. now i'm stuck in an authentication test where i move the animal to face in the direction of the hand. i do all 5 correctly and it says 'something is not quite right' every time. it feels like a blessing overall though i will be significantly more news-poor now.

this is actually the single worst thing to happen to Twitter, for me personally at least, because now for every popular tweet the top replies are from the worst people.

The thing i wonder is why these people are paying to amplify their tweets when they’re just repeating the same things a thousand other people are tweeting

now that blue checks are floating to the top of replies it basically guarantees that all the worst posters get the first reponse, since no decent poster would ever pay for Twitter Blue. not only do they all say the same shit every single one of them is weirdly obsessed with their like/RT/view metrics and talk about them nonstop. amazing how much worse Twitter got in just one week

ive been blocking them, for the cause, but i feel kinda conflicted since i also want to see the train wreck

I've seen some Twitter Blue subscribers say stuff like "why WOULDN'T you want to pay a small fee to make your tweet perform well?" And it's like, if I'm paying to make it happen, then it sort of ruins whatever thrill there is from a tweet that takes off organically. I guess if you're just being cold-eyed about it and just want to accrue followers at all costs, then fine, whatever. But I find that approach kind of depressing.

oh yeah poker guys are very weird about their engagement, they do the same annoying shit all the big Youtubers do but most of them are getting less than 1000 views on each video, probably because they're such boring and uncharismatic people who refer to videos as "content". they're good videos if you wanna learn the game though

a few poker guys have good videos but yeah mostly theyre pretty bad

the whole culture of youtube –content creators– is so terrible and bizarre but also kind of fascinating, theyre completely cloistered reinventing the wheel, poorly and weirdly
