Twelve-D chess, man

Poking through the even more extreme websites, the story is that Trump wanted to get indicted SO THAT he could reveal he’s been president this whole time and indict Biden.

Trump supporters are organizing on fringe social media platforms, finding the names of fed prosecutors & compiling information about their "children" and families

"We need to start killing" one MAGA cultist said

Another: "(their) children are fair game"https://t.co/Rf1kZGtIHa

How sad your life must be if you contemplate murder for Donald Fucking Trump.

I guess we’ll see?

I just don’t know what else to say at this point.

Yeah I read it as mostly just msg board talk tbh. We'll find out.

It won’t surprise me if “the resistance” is like five random dudes.

These people are thick and deluded but (and maybe this is silly to think) after 1/6 the vibe among law enforcement is probably “fuck around and find out” on the streets, not just months later in court.

The Triumphant Return of Bernard & Stubbs (Raymond Cummings), Saturday, 10 June 2023 16:17 (ten months ago) link

one thing is that the jan 6 prosecutions have really spooked them, now whenever you see a call for violence theres people immediately accusing the person of being a fed, which doesnt mean no ones going to try anything just that the public rabble rousing organizing that led to jan 6 is in a tough spot

lag∞n, Saturday, 10 June 2023 16:19 (ten months ago) link

I’ve been thinking that the vigorous prosecution of Proud Boys and Oath Keepers is also having the positive effect of ramping down on organized political violence that could be causing mayhem no and in the run up to the elections.

This is one of the weirder things about q anon. It’s less a conspiracy then like a theory of prophecies and revelations.

so like the Old Testament then

the dreaded dependent claus (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Monday, 12 June 2023 12:13 (ten months ago) link

Exactly. They compare Trump to the Biblical King Cyrus.

Holy grift

Trump-Cyrus “prayer coins” – the king is in the background, a brooding profile of Trump is in the foreground – for $45 a coin.

apologies if this has been addressed in thread, but is there a reason he wanted to keep these boxes so badly? was there some benefit or was it just a bilbo baggins "why shouldn't i keep it?" situation?

Forget it, ums, it's Trumptown.

the dreaded dependent claus (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Monday, 12 June 2023 16:12 (ten months ago) link

idk it's still kind of a mystery, given his strange deferential relationship with Putin and Kim Jong Un plus the very shady looking deals Kushner got it wouldn't surprise me if he's just straight up selling government secrets. but also Trump is the one guy who might just take this stuff because he thought it was cool, or maybe out of bitterness, I know for most people it wouldn't matter but in this case I think it will

frogbs, Monday, 12 June 2023 16:16 (ten months ago) link

afaict he did indeed go full Gollum.

“It's not theirs; it's mine,” several advisers say Mr. Trump told them.

Josh in Chicago, Monday, 12 June 2023 16:16 (ten months ago) link

Occam's razor in full effect. Why did Trump take them? Because he is a selfish, shortsighted, self-obsessed moron.

Josh in Chicago, Monday, 12 June 2023 16:17 (ten months ago) link

what's really funny is Trump was reported as frustrating all the records people when he was in office, because any time he's finished with anything, it was reported he'd habitually crumple up whatever it was he was reading and throw it in the trash. so someone's job was to fish things out and uncrumple them because there are rules about presidential record retention

presumably he needed as many documents as possible because he's wrecking them after waving them around and bragging

mh, Monday, 12 June 2023 16:25 (ten months ago) link

The example in the indictment was Trump using the documents to prove that deep state people (i.e. Gen. Milley) were lying about him in the press.

otm, it's not any deeper than it helps feed his massive narcissism as a totem that he was the most important person on the planet for four years.
