as someone who has done minor groundworks and actually mixed and poured concrete as part of my previous job - albeit quite badly as I'm not a builder. Saw some suggestion that baiting the judge into losing his temper and overreacting to Trump bullshit is an actual possible Trump strategy and not just, like, rationalizing what may happen regardless.

Yes, read a Rolling Stone feature quoting Dershowitz saying it could be a tactic to goad the judge into overreacting and thus strengthening post-verdict appeal as Trump winning the case in the courtroom is virtually impossible.
