I thought she just switched districts, from the one where she won by like half a percent to a safer, redder district.

After Donald Trump lost the 2020 election, Mnuchin established an investment fund, Liberty Strategic Capital. The fund obtained funds from the Saudis, Emirati and Qatari sovereign wealth funds. According to the New York Times, "The scale of Mr. Mnuchin’s fund and its investments from countries where he traveled as Treasury secretary have raised questions about whether he used his government role to enrich himself."

Hmm.

Boebert will continue to prosper as long as she annoys people like me.

Owning the libs is way more important to her base than proper theater and restaurant etiquette.

funniest outcome of the Trump immunity case is the court finds that the President has complete immunity and then Biden immediately kills Trump

Her old district included the town where I went to high school. I mean, hasn't Pueblo suffered enough?

stephen miller was quoted at length in https://www.nytimes.com/2023/11/11/us/politics/trump-2025-immigration-agenda.html. he'll be in the administration again if trump wins, unlike mnuchin, sessions, tillerson, etc.

every time i read the stories associated with the reality of yesterday's proceedings i like literally cannot believe this is the reality of this shit. like, the fact that people are just arguing what they are arguing, and not being pelted with feces and stones.

Plus the whole thing where it's like someone who's actively feasting on an infant slinging baseless accusations about someone else just having shoplifted from a CVS and a distressing number of people are all like '(gasp) not a CVS!!!' rather than 'please stop ceaselessly prevaricating as a means of distracting us from the fact that we need to drive you out of society, you baby-gobbling monster'.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution today had extensive coverage on the Willis allegations and how they might affect the Trump indictment. I do not remember a single line questioning whether the allegations were true. There was, however, a front-page story on her supposed paramour.

The judge went out of his way to accommodate Trump, and of course it wasn't enough.

The denial of the request for Trump to speak was classic.

After explicitly being told 'these are the conditions. they are not negotiable. take it or leave it', I like how Trump's lawyer shows the judge who's really the boss here by writing "Mr. Trump will speak tomorrow". When you represent Trump you set a torch to your professional standing and then trample the ashes in case there's anything left of it.

he probably still would have appealed to a lot of those voters in the 90s, feel like the big difference with his forward trajectory is that he started appealing to a significantly greater percentage of people who really should fucking know better.
