Quite a stretch to say he succeeded at presidenting.

He did a bang-up job at leaving the country in a shambles.

trump was in pretty bad shape before his t.v. show, right? i think i remember reading that. the show saved him. he had no money. getting sued left and right. nobody cared about him. that new yorker article was good about all that. blaming the fate of the world on the producer of trump's t.v. show.

same with rudy before 9/11. nobody wanted to have anything to do with him.

I think like a lot of rich people he leverages his value (as such) to get favorable loans, and those loans constitute his cash. But of course, as this lawsuit has underscored, he's repeatedly lied about or exaggerated his value to get said loans, so dunno what he's going to do to drum up more money to pay these fins and penalties. No doubt some other bank or entity will come through with more loans, if they see benefit from it. Nothing has ever stopped banks from being stupid with their (our) money.

He's pretty much run out of banks to borrow from. I'm sure he's in hock to the Russians for millions.

Fani Willis waited until the very last minute to respond to Roman's motion to dismiss, sounds like the relationship did not begin until after Wade was divorced and after he was a part of the legal team, which should be helpful. Not sure why they let weeks go by before making a strong statement. It seems like at least in the context of the trial this should be completely thrown out, but no doubt GA republicans will do everything they can to drag it out.

Based on how easily Trump and the conservative echo chamber were able to turn Anthony Fauci- who at one point was polling as more popular than Trump- into a punching bag, I’m concerned about how hard they are going to go after her. speaking of which the other day this whole thing was brought up at the record store and an older guy started talking about how some art organization he was a part of in the 80s did a big event that was sponsored by Trump Tower and featured a speech by the man himself. apparently Trump arrived with some woman who clearly was not his wife, spoke for about 5 minutes and left, then just outright refused to pay a dime, which caused this organization to fold. I believe the way he put it was "fuck that guy, he's a huge asshole and I hope everyone knows it"
