i have a friend who goes to shows to stock his store and i honestly don't know how he does it. he buys good stuff! at high prices. but his bins look nice and shiny for a week. it works for him somehow. he bought a ton of my stuff today. but during the show. like a person. i don't begrudge that. i buy lots of store stuff during shows. i mostly look for cheap funk and soul because i don't get a lot of it where i am. and nobody wants the cheap stuff like that at shows. so, it works out for everyone.

i don't mind sellers taking a look at my records before the show opens. you get there so early, it's one of the perks. if somebody is hoovering up records to resell, though, it's a different thing.

i just mean if one of my friends comes over and wants something, it's like -- yeah. you can buy it. i'm not going to make you wait until 9am sharp.

the problem for me is that if I reveal them at all, the human vacuum cleaners swarm the table instantly

I literally have to keep them covered with sheets

and I don't even really care that they might resell them, I just don't like dealers cleaning out my bins before regular people get a chance to dig

especially this year when I am pricing to sell sell sell
