100 tons of hardrofl beyond zings (Just got offed), Monday, 13 October 2008 20:35 (fifteen years ago) link

I would have preferred an honest to goodness J Cope fan to get that one, but jgo correct.

jane hussein lane (suzy), Monday, 13 October 2008 20:36 (fifteen years ago) link

69, Monday, 13 October 2008 20:36 (fifteen years ago) link

Ismael Klata, Monday, 13 October 2008 20:37 (fifteen years ago) link

the first 2 guesses for 19 (iceland & newzealand) were way off in terms of miles, but they do share something in common with the place in question

velko, Monday, 13 October 2008 20:37 (fifteen years ago) link

I only have Fried of early-period Cope, I'm currently listening to Jehovahkill and Peggy Suicide also resides in my iTunes along with both Teardrop Explodes records. So bloody there.

100 tons of hardrofl beyond zings (Just got offed), Monday, 13 October 2008 20:38 (fifteen years ago) link

23: Kent somewhere?

caek, Monday, 13 October 2008 20:38 (fifteen years ago) link

(And I just went through Fried listening out for clues! Ended up enjoying it too much to do so)

100 tons of hardrofl beyond zings (Just got offed), Monday, 13 October 2008 20:39 (fifteen years ago) link

Not Kent

Ismael Klata, Monday, 13 October 2008 20:40 (fifteen years ago) link

I'm just irritated that I've been called out as a non-Cope fan when I don't happen to have one of his albums, and yet generally get around to evangelising him when invited to name my favourite musics. Fucking NOBODY my age is a Cope fan, and yet I'm the one getting it in the neck? Jesus.

100 tons of hardrofl beyond zings (Just got offed), Monday, 13 October 2008 20:41 (fifteen years ago) link

dude, nobody wants to give it to you in the neck

Mr. Que, Monday, 13 October 2008 20:41 (fifteen years ago) link

wtf?

caek, Monday, 13 October 2008 20:42 (fifteen years ago) link

23. Bristol?

caek, Monday, 13 October 2008 20:43 (fifteen years ago) link

Land Of Fear!!! Fried is a superb record, but it's trumped by its own bonus track, a jolly and upbeat yet subtly melancholy keyboard drift-along. The last coupla minutes are perfect.

DIGGING THE DRUDE 2 YEARS AGO

100 tons of hardrofl beyond zings (Just got offed), Monday, 13 October 2008 20:44 (fifteen years ago) link

Ismael Klata, Monday, 13 October 2008 20:44 (fifteen years ago) link

69, Monday, 13 October 2008 20:45 (fifteen years ago) link

jgo = correct

velko, Monday, 13 October 2008 20:45 (fifteen years ago) link

missing a couple of letters tho

velko, Monday, 13 October 2008 20:45 (fifteen years ago) link

i feel no joy, only hollow irritation. you see, i'd actually started composing my defence of allmusic use ("i have 3 other Cope albums!") and then when I tried to post it Suzy had already gotten in there with the sly dig I had been attempting to repudiate. argh.

100 tons of hardrofl beyond zings (Just got offed), Monday, 13 October 2008 20:47 (fifteen years ago) link

ok ok fine back to the cities

69, Monday, 13 October 2008 20:48 (fifteen years ago) link

21 is not in MT, or in the US for that matter.

Casuistry, Monday, 13 October 2008 20:48 (fifteen years ago) link

I have been on that bridge in Astoria, and I would never have guessed it. I am bad at this game.

Casuistry, Monday, 13 October 2008 20:49 (fifteen years ago) link

you're not bad at this game--your picture is tough. is it in Canada? is it Moosejaw? is it?

Mr. Que, Monday, 13 October 2008 20:51 (fifteen years ago) link

xp I am, too, but mostly because I haven't even heard of half the cities people have chosen.

jaymc, Monday, 13 October 2008 20:51 (fifteen years ago) link

is 21 a city, looks like nowhere

velko, Monday, 13 October 2008 20:52 (fifteen years ago) link

21 has "City" in its very name.

Casuistry, Monday, 13 October 2008 20:56 (fifteen years ago) link

yeah ive resigned myself to enjoying the narrowing-down, having no chance of off-the-bat success

69, Monday, 13 October 2008 20:56 (fifteen years ago) link

velko, Monday, 13 October 2008 20:57 (fifteen years ago) link
