O.K. You Mugs: The Pro-Character-Actors Thread

Title taken from Luc Sante and Melissa Pierson's collection of character-actor essays, and meant to compliment this thread:

'Character Actors' you can't bear to watch anymore

I'll start with my Al Nalbandian post from the other thread. In American Graffiti, he's an employee at the arcade where the Pharaohs steal money from the machines while Richard Dreyfuss runs interference out front: "You can have all the fun you want--this place is for fun"; he turns up for a few seconds in The Conversation as one of the tech salesman at the convention.

He has a very unusual, striking presence.

We need a pro-character actors thread.

It's cryptosicko's fault--it's cryptosicko's fault!

Kidding. I guess I was fixated on searching "character" instead of "supporting."

Eh, either lock/delete thread or make this one in praise of (character) actors whose mugs most of us would recognize but whose names we do know. Someone like Charles Durning, who doesn't have his own thread (I just checked to be sure) but who I assume everyone knows, belongs here.

Everybody knows Al Nalbandian--except Mrs. Al Nalbandian.

*ahem*
Character Actor Roll Call

I think this should be retitled and turned into a "Hey Dummy, You Missed My Thread" thread.

Think the real problem is that these character actor threads never quite catch on so people keep starting new ones.
