Sunday sleep in, clean, quick trip to grocery store, standard Sunday-night sitting around playing video games and calling winner a whore.

I also have an exam tomorrow, and so staying in to study, which is particularly unfair because all my friends have finished theirs and are off down to the pub, for the first drink of the term.

I could go by myself, but it's not the kind of event where that will be very comfortable. I will be craning my neck around all night trying to find an unattached woman to dance with, and being a gringo will be a strike against me. However, once I am seen dancing, my chances will improve. (This is not to say I am great, but I am not embarrassing.) Maybe I will run into someone I know, but that didn't happen last time I went to a similar show.

Tomorrow: Haven't decided daytime plans yet, although it'd be wise to do some chores (laundry, groceries, finally pay my taxes), in the evening, either go to see Waiting for Godot at a small storefront theater or the Fake Fictions at the Hideout.

Also, since my grandmother's died, people have moved further apart and I no longer have a place to stay when I go "home". We had to get a hotel room. how f'ed is that.

Going out to dinner tomorrow night at friends' house. Then Sunday, well, usual long beach walk with the dogs followed by a shower and a big nap all round. Spring out of bed on Sunday evening all ready for, er, a quiet beer and some telly.

Right. I'm moving in with a couple of friends. Don't kno exactly where yet. Somewhere on the Gold Coast. And sometime over the nest couple of weeks. So, probably going to have to look for places this wend.
There's allegedly a sweet looking house (or maybe a duplex i can't remember what my friend said) on a canal and the it has its own tinny!!

This canal often has shark sightings though. :/

getting cable/internet installed (i'm on shitty stolen wireless at the moment) and going to a 2-day music fest in echo park. since i have a free day today i'm thinking of going up to the ikea in burbank and getting a couple more of the lerberg storage units ($14.99 for the small, $19.99 for the bigger one, cool-looking and not bulky, v. easy to assemble).

Daughter's birthday party, followed by dinner + booze with friends who have been gone all summer. Also, school supply shopping for kids. Also, extracurricular sleeping (me).

Who/ what kind of bands are playing in Echo Park? We have some friends in from DC and they are music types, and we live in South Pas.

Other than that, we were thinking MOCA, The Gamble House and POSSIBLY the Griffith for sunset, but that may fall by the wayside if its not a very clear day.

Other than that, prolly some research tomorrow morning, try to convince my wife to make one of her yummy quiches, and attempt to stay out of trouble. I have a bachelor party to go to in Ann Arbor next weekend, so low key and without legal incident is this weekend's mantra.

In chicago, visiting my lady, just about to hit the wider world for early lunch and who knows what.

Actually mine's a little more busy for a change. Tonight I'm hosting a Harry Potter party at my house for the women I went to the book release with. Then tomorrow/Sunday we'll be at the in-laws for a birthday. Fun.

Going to see how many I have left after I do the chicago guys, I have 10 here, plus some more at home and wil be more assiduous about sending them out when I get back.

(I only ask because Ned wants one, naturally)

Packing books and records mostly. Renting a truck and delivering tables/chairs to lxy, a giant bookshelf to daughter, lawn furniture to other friends. Maybe kai-ten sushi lunch w/ son and trip to pick up the remainder of his (now very late) birthday present (many plastic record storage boxes in Hello Kitty colors). Or maybe just reading and napping.

Friends are coming over on Sunday, so suddenly I have to get the house ready for friends coming over. This is a good thing, because it is the only time I clean. Really I should invite people over every week.

Maybe every other week.

Tonight & tomorrow I'm going to visit a friend from high school and join in her & her roommates' weekend routine. I haven't seen her since around Christmas, I think, so I'm excited! Then Sunday I will go to the barn and do horse chores with my family.

Tonight I'm going to drink and smoke and listen to Oi music. Plus ca change. Tomorrow I have to go the post office to pick up a package, do general housework and if the weather report is correct, possibly have BBQ in the evening. I don't think I can afford to go out anywhere but I may pop to DanFAP for a bit. Sunday will be lazy. Then Bank Holiday Monday, uh I dunno I suppose I should try to achieve something vaguely constructive.
