I almost forgot! I used to live in MASSACHUSETTS...
Somerville was great because of the high drunk per capita due to the neighboring town, Arlington, being DRY! Why didn't I open a bar near the boarder.

Oh, I forgot, I didn't have any relatives in city politics.

Aw, geez....

THAT WAS A JOKE!

nine years pass...

Weird lavender-flavored "dry" soda with vodka in it. Yummy!
My friend's dad keeps buying her lavender liqueur, she thinks it's horrible and wants to get rid of it. I secretly think it's a super yummy and ridiculous treat, but I can't say "hey just give ME that booze." Anyway I wish I had some to mix with this.

She can't even drink it because she can't consume wheat or wheat products incl. grain alcohol!
It's cool, it's a dark bluish purple and it tastes like what I imagine Avon smells like.

I guess I love perfumey drinks, they are the closest I'll ever get to knowing perfume.

oh there are these little hard candies in cute tins, i feel like they're french but maybe they just seem that way, that are lavender and anise and other perfumey flowery flavours and they're basically like eating perfume - you would like them!

To answer the question at hand, coffee.

That said, Chowards Violet candies are one of my favorite things. I eat them like 5 at a time when I find them which is about once a year. <3 Abbott your drink sounds right up my alley. Love flowery perfumey things.

if they are planting sauvignon blanc in slovenia then that's an amusing/saddening reflection of homogenization given that the related but distinct sauvignon vert is one of the important local varietals (tocai friulano when planted on the other side of the border)

It's a mix of sauvignon blanc and the local furmint. Have a feeling that sauv vert might be mainly in the west of Slovenia and blanc in the east but idk really.

Wristy Hurlington (ShariVari), Monday, 4 August 2014 06:54 (eleven years ago)

that's probably true and the sauvignon blanc would be planted more recently, it gives international brand recognition that furmint doesn't have, despite furmint being the nobler grape

then there are the regions like brda bordering italy, where the viticultural traditions are continuous, although i think miani in friuli who is sometimes described as the best white wine producer in italy makes a sauvignon blanc and a chardonnay

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/a/a6/Hum-GoriskaBrda.jpg/1024px-Hum-GoriskaBrda.jpg

this plausible impression of the tuscan hills is in brda

an elderly friend of the family is from near there, my mother remembered an anecdote that she had apparently told about dancing with il duce when she was a girl, i found it hard to believe anyone would want to boast about that so she asked her again and it turned out it was the slightly more salubrious tito
