e.g. I'm looking for that thread Jess started a bit back about our favorite '03 singles and I'm having no luck at all. this sucks. the old search engine rocked, this does not.

What I usually do is select the option of showing all threads ever (admittedly rubbish if you have a slow connection), or all threads for a specific month, and doing a text search from there.

Would it be possible to have an announcements page on ilxor.com so that when the mods do something like this they can put up a link saying 'we've done this and here's why and here's the official thread about it' so we don't have 10 different threads on it. No offense to anyone who started a thread, I feel your pain, it's just we need somewhere official so that everyone can find out easily.
