this might not be 100% accurate, but heard a rumour today that sleaze/jockey slut might've closed.

but Jockey Slut is re-launching as a quarterly mag next week !

...maybe they have cash flow problems? and the bank has pulled the rug ?

This wouldn't be all that surprising if it were true.

Jockey Slut "went quarterly" (read: started winding down production) a couple of months ago, retaining only a skeleton staff base to update the (admittedly revamped and pretty cool) JS website.

Sleaze rebranded recently but has seen no resultant upsurge in popularity (mainly cos it's the same mag still). X-Ray's already long gone.

Swinstead? SwinsDEAD, more like!!!!!!???!!!???!?!

Hm. The magazine is owned by the son of Shoreditch's wealthiest property developer, so only a fight with Dad...

stelfox is reporting this:

jockey slut and sleaze nation publishers hit the wall

DJ Martian (djmartian), Thursday, 27 May 2004 16:31 (twenty-two years ago)

Did losing the contract for X-Ray really fuck them so much?

James Mitchell (James Mitchell), Thursday, 27 May 2004 19:15 (twenty-two years ago)
