"I was forced to drink my own piss at a board meeting" AKA "I pooped in my boyfriend's lap on the first date" aka "what is this thing I coughed up [pics inside]". sometimes the thread goes viral but usually it just gets reposted on 3 or 4 other message boards and everyone agrees it's bullshit.

• longtime poster with gender-neutral username admits to being a girl. when pressed for proof, she post a photo of herself holding up a sign that says, "hi [Gaia online] <3 <3 <3", prompting a bunch of skeptical "I can tell by the pixels..." comments and overall clusterfuck. a week later everyone goes back to assuming the poster is a dude.

• "celebrities you thought were dead" aka "Abe Vigoda is still alive!?!?!?"
