We're meeting around 5.30 and he has to leave for the airport by around 8, so there's a narrow dinner window -- restaurant suggestions welcome, best if on the cheap.

People, you're missing out on the chance to sup with Mr "How Do I Toast a Bagel?". How will you face yourselves in the mirror tomorrow morning?!?

I didn't see this thread until just now. If you see this, tell me where you're at and I might try to stop by.

We're meeting at Union Square/Virgin megastore just before 6, and for all I know we're having pizza and milkshakes, not really fussed about where we eat. Probably pizza at Pie, which is at err 13th and 3rd? I think? Maybe 13th and 4th. Call me if you want to check in, the no. is 347-526-2719.

Thanks, Laurel, but it doesn't look like I'm going to make it. Should you really be putting your cellphone number on this board?

Oh, i could've made it to this if I'd seen the thread earlier, but I guess it's just about too late now. Ah well, if anyone's free tomorrow instead then come and do this...

Ken, probably not but really, who cares? I had to run out of the office and wanted people to have a chance to meet up with us if their schedules allowed, cos G is so terrific.

Sorry, Jim -- G only called me around 4pm, I had no idea he'd be here and it was all last-minute!

Anyway, it was super low-key. We just had pizza and then caught up for an hour until it was time to pack him onto the train, airport-bound. He was dragging the Amazing Ninety-Pound Duffel Bag, on its last duct-taped legs after 4 months of hoofing it around half the major cities in the US, so we didn't wander far.
