i had no idea rick dees was capable of cheesier heights. or depths. or whatever. he just repeated some "facts" revealed in a "new study" which reveals women like chocolate and men like steak. ugh! and then he's like "but you put the two together and we.. be.. burnin!"

no, i have no idea why i'm listening to rick dees.

"we be burnin'" is good - i like how it makes you think it's "gimme the light" at the beginning.

wtf does mischa barton have to with the top 40.

"dirty little secret" is whine-rock by numbers, but i like how the 'jects show the underbelly of "i'm fragile" mama's boy rock by make the singer a bullying, manipulative, passive-aggressive jerk.

"sugar going down" by fall out boy continues the thick-skinned, brutalist take on love by whine-rock bands. and it, like "dirty little secret" includes backup vocals that are often mixed as if they're receding into the distance. the lead singer will sing a line, his bandmates will repeat it, and their repetition speeds away, like someone falling down a well.
