You've only got a few years before the Tim Lawrence book on it comes out.

I'll repeat my caption, because I thought I was so funny the first time:

"That'll be one sugar".

tolstoy (tolstoy), Sunday, 30 July 2006 10:25 (nineteen years ago)

Dan, is that group in any related to Amin Peck, or is that accent just a normal 'italo' thing? It also sort of reminded me of Delanua's 'How Many Fill.' At least the voice.

I thought the clip was great! I'm listening to it right now. This stuff is Limewire-able, yes?

from The ends of your fingers (prosper.strummer.), Sunday, 30 July 2006 14:38 (nineteen years ago)

I don't think that group is related to Amin Peck. I'd assume it's just an italian accent, or a popular way for people to sing during the period. I'm not a big fan of that song, or any of Scotch's vocal stuff I've heard, I just thought it was a ridiculous video.

anyway...

I thought the clip was great!

It's great in an awful kind of way. Actually no, it is just plain awful.

tolstoy (tolstoy), Sunday, 30 July 2006 17:32 (nineteen years ago)

Wait, let me watch it again...

from The ends of your fingers (prosper.strummer.), Sunday, 30 July 2006 17:33 (nineteen years ago)

No, I still love it. Especially when that red-mulleted guy goes "Baby!".

from The ends of your fingers (prosper.strummer.), Sunday, 30 July 2006 17:37 (nineteen years ago)

Dudes, this is more fucked up

gaseous (gaseous), Sunday, 30 July 2006 23:49 (nineteen years ago)

that first video is hilarious and great! if only all music videos were that playful and silly.

a name means a lot just by itself (lfam), Sunday, 30 July 2006 23:57 (nineteen years ago)

I think that both of them are amazing for exactly the same reason. They're dumb and playful. Bad. But fun! And it's all about fun.

Also, in the second one, the singer pronounces the '-ed' on the end of 'yellowed,' which makes the whole thing sound even more ridiculous.

trees (treesessplode), Monday, 31 July 2006 03:38 (nineteen years ago)

I'd assume it's just an italian accent, or a popular way for people to sing during the period.

the vocals in Scotch remind me a bunch of the male singer in Lime too.

Mike Hooter (jaxon), Monday, 31 July 2006 05:08 (nineteen years ago)
